10-11 June 2026
For three decades, Health in Difference has been the pre-eminent national forum for advancing LGBTIQ+ health equity. Since its inception in 1996, the conference has convened health professionals, researchers, policymakers and community leaders to share evidence, forge partnerships and influence the systems that shape health outcomes.
The 2026 conference marks a milestone year - thirty years since the first Health in Difference - and arrives at a pivotal moment in public health reform. It offers a space for critical reflection on the gains achieved, the inequities that persist, and the work required to embed inclusion across every facet of prevention, care and research.
Part of Australia’s Premier LGBTIQ+ Conference Series
Held back-to-back with the Ageing in Difference (11–12 June), together, these conferences will shape the next decade of action in LGBTIQ+ health and ageing — aligning with the implementation of the National 10-Year Action Plan and insights from the 2026 Census.
Delegates will explore contemporary issues in LGBTIQ+ health through keynote presentations, panels and practice-focused sessions spanning data, policy, and service innovation. Health in Difference 26 is an invitation to engage with the evidence, connect with peers, and help define the next generation of inclusive health policy and practice in Australia.
